💸Special Assessment Clarification
No second special assessment has been approved, and no payment was due on October 1st . The first emergency special assessment covered many storm-related expenses that were not reimbursed by insurance. The Board will continue reviewing the upcoming landscape management plan and future wildfire mitigation needs as the proposed work, priorities, and associated costs become clearer. Any future special assessment would be discussed at an Open Board Meeting and separately noticed 30–60 days before payment is due. Homeowners who submitted checks should contact the Administration Office for a refund.
🏊Pool Repairs
The pool project was temporarily placed on hold after portions of the plaster work requiring additional attention. That item was addressed, and work resumed this week, with completion still anticipated by mid-October.
⛳Gold Course
The golf course will be closed from October 5 through October 9 for aeration of the greens and fairways. The course is expected to reopen on Saturday, October 10.
🏠Roofing Work
Community Center roofing has begun and will proceed alongside the pool project. Appropriate signs and barriers will be placed around affected areas. Please use caution and follow all posted directions when visiting the Community Center.
⛈️Storm Outlet Maintenance
Beginning the week of October 5, crews will perform storm outlet maintenance in Conejo Creek, including clearing storm drains and testing flap gates in preparation for the rainy season and possible El Niño conditions.
🍂Thank you for your patience as we “fall” into a busy season of community improvements and prepare Leisure Village for the months ahead!
